Fantasy RPG - Tasha

Description

Blame [link] for these ideas, honestly. She chatted with me about doing the whole D&D furries thing, and after some talking I ended up "joining" the party. Actually I don't remember if I offered or she asked, but the idea was set and we've been batting around the ideas via the Notes here on DA. End result is that Tasha ends up joining in.

This of course led me to have to re-imagine Tasha in a fantasy setting. She'd always been a techie, so how would that work? I opted to make her a technical wizard, very focused on the hows and whys of magic.

For the sake of the RPG, Tasha here is about 17, going on 18 (thus of legal age) and attending a school for mages. Now mages aren't all that well liked by the churches in her realm, so they have their upheavals and problems pretty frequently.

Tasha here is actually studious, shy, and perhaps a little cold. She actually views her feminine "assets" as being in the way, as they keep attracting guys (and the occasional girl) while she's just trying to study. She's perfected the art of telling people to just "go away", but that never seems to stop them from coming back. Meanwhile she's focused on learning her spells. She's NOT the most powerful, but she is then most technical (For those needing a comparison, think Hermione Granger without the know-it-all-ness) and once she's learned it, she KNOWS it. Her prime focus is passing her classes, not the student romances that seem to flourish around her.

However she does have one love that hamstrings her desire to be left alone. Clothing. She's a real clothes horse, and loves trying on new styles and fashions. She'll find one she likes and wear the hell out of it, but often she goes through dozens of outfits before settling on one for a few months. Such is the case with this outfit, offering a symmetrical off the shoulder & off the hip look she liked. The skirt is a little snug (no running for you!!) but she wears heels anyway, so she doesn't mind. The corset was an added element she liked, and she felt offered a nice contrast to the feel of the dress. Unfortunately it's "fit" means that a lot of guys come snooping around for her to chase off.

Also, for the record, this version of Tasha has been cloistered with the mages. That means she has no BDSM experience. Given her appearance, I wager that'll change fast....

Spell wise, she casts by tracing sigils in the air. This means any sort of restraint that pins her hands or wrists would render her unable to cast (just binding wrists in front of her would allow too much motion, she'd still be able to cast). She specializes in Evocation and Transmutation spells, but finds that Enchantment spells are nearly impossible for her.

Lessons Learned - This one was surprisingly not that hard. Getting the book right took a few tries, as did the hand showing, but I'm very happy with it. My only complaint is that too many elements crossed behind her magic sigil, making it stand out less then I wanted it to.

** edit** ShijinTribble did a lovely color job of this as well. [link]

Mage huh? Well, I'm no pen and paper RPG expert but i think another mage could beat you. How? easy. Use this spell:

Liga et ioculatio

Latin for Bind and gag.
