And what good would rendering Filigree be without rendering her kid sister, Verdigris?

As with the other one, this really isn't the story version of Verdi, these pictures really don't carry the weight and "horrors" that Verdigris has bore witness to in the story. But maybe that's why I wanted to draw her this way. I did such horrible things to this innocent little character that I just wanted to let her BE an innocent little character....

Lessons Learned: Oddly, not many. Verdi here was very easy to render compared to her elder sister. Part of that was the softer curves and wide, youthful, eyes. She had such FLEXIBILITY in her expressions that she was downright FUN to sketch! I still need to practice gryphon bodies and stuff, but I think I have the wings mostly down...
